today i watched The Xmen 3 with my 2 bros, my ever-dependent movie buddies..wahaha.
hur hur.
in any case, the movie was cool. way better than the previous 2, I suppose. I've read the trailer so it was kind of an anti-climax. hur hur.U noe there was suppose to be Gambit played by Sawyer( the LOST guy with a blond hair), but he refused to take up that role at the account that both Gambit and the role he played in LOST were pretty much the same.
it wasn't a very pleasant experience, however, because this dude next to me kept FIDGETING and FIDGETING throughout the movie.
He was probably uncomfortable because he was pretty tall but the fidgeting was almost incessant and I wanted to smack him. He also periodically sat forward and started scratching his back. In fact, he scratched quite a bit. He scratched and scratched and then I started to scratch too. I don't know, something about people itching makes me itch too. So there we were, two strangers scratching away throughout the movie.
It was pretty annoying.
Him, not me. Especially since 5 minutes into the movie, he turned around to the people seated behind us and placed a finger over his lips and went, "SSSHH" because apparently they were eating too loudly.
He also kept turning to look (and undoubtedly casting evil stares) at my lil' bro who was happily eating his popcorn and munching away a tad too loudly for his liking. I resisted the urge to join him and chew the damn popcorn with my mouth open. Good thing my mom taught me manners.
hmph.
anihow, cheap thrill
several things were said today that caused me to giggle helplessly:
1) Me: (eating a banana fritter that had been left out for a few hours) EH! This banana is damn hard la!
2) This was the best one of all. I was in the train this morning, when this guy in his late teens or maybe early 20s walked in and opened his book entitled "Plato, not Prozac: Applying Eternal Wisdom to Everyday Problems".
sounds pretty normal, right?
well i'm not done yet.
so there was, with his book in front of him and his bookmark between the pages and he started reading.
OUT LOUD.
That's RIGHT.
He read the book OUT LOUD.
hur hur hur.
I don't know about you but it was a first for me! And he'd read it with SO MUCH enthusiasm and after he read one bit, he'd pause and reflect on it.
hur hur hur hur hur hur hur.
i was SO amused!!!!
you know, maybe he was just being kind and sharing with everyone in the train just how you can apply eternal wisdom to everyday problems.
see? i'm sure he had good intentions at heart!
okay. hur hur. i'm done giggling.
